VGC+, Can you say rare, rare, rare? one of only 79 built in the first two years of production (only 138 were built from 1939-1941), Awesome pre-war guitar! Sunburst finish, jumbo body, spruce top, mahogany back and sides, 2-piece 14-fret maple neck with dark center strip, 20-fret ebony fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, ebony open moustache bridge with individual "adjustable bearings" (saddles) for each string, "shoulder" tortoise plastic pickguard, white-bound body and fretboard, b-w top purfling, stairstep headstock with script "Gibson" logo inlaid in pearl, 17" lower bout, 3-7/8" to 4-1/2" body depth, 26" scale, 1-3/4" nut width, original chrome Sealfast tuners, much tender loving care has been administered to refurbish this guitar to it's present glory (spruce top patch under fretboard extension and several repaired top cracks in the same area, neck reset, refretted, new nut, bridge string slots filled, repaired back cracks near neck block, repaired pickguard crack, one large top ding, finish touchup throughout repaired areas), period strap holders installed on back of headstock and near endpin, Custom engraving on truss rod cover reads "L.W.S.", this model was surpassed only by the SJ-200 in it's day, excellent sound so you can play Country like a "Singing Cowboy" or the Blues like Lonnie Johnson!
